QUESTION: Which Ultimate Rectifier should I choose for my motorcycle?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
what UR model do I need
which regulator fits
fitment check
compatibility check
does this UR fit my bike
ANSWER:
We can recommend the correct Ultimate Rectifier using your motorcycle brand, model, year, and the connector/housing details of your current regulator/rectifier.
Before ordering, always compare:
– connector type (shape + pin count)
– wire length
– housing size / mounting points
If you are not 100% sure, please send a clear photo of your current regulator/rectifier including the connectors and wire lengths.
TEMPLATE: WHICH TYPE (ONE OPTION)
Thank you for contacting our technical support team. Based on the information provided, your motorcycle should fit the following Ultimate Rectifier:
[MODEL + LINK]
Before placing your order, please verify that the connectors, wire length, and housing size match your current regulator/rectifier. If you are unsure, feel free to send us a photo of your current unit (including connectors and wires).

QUESTION: My motorcycle is a transition year. Which Ultimate Rectifier is the correct one?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
transition year model
two versions same year
same year different regulator
multiple UR options
ANSWER:
Some motorcycles have “transition years” where the manufacturer used two different regulator/rectifier types within the same model year.
To confirm the correct Ultimate Rectifier, we need a photo of the regulator/rectifier currently installed on your motorcycle (especially connectors and wire lengths).
TEMPLATE: WHICH TYPE (TWO OPTIONS)
Thank you for contacting our technical support team. Your motorcycle model/year can be a transition year, meaning more than one regulator type may have been used.
Please check which regulator/rectifier is currently installed on your bike. Based on our assessment, your bike will fit one of these:
Option 1: [MODEL + LINK]
Option 2: [MODEL + LINK]
If your installed unit is different from the options above, please send photos so we can confirm the correct UR model for your motorcycle.

QUESTION: Do you have the exact OEM regulator/rectifier for my bike?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
my model is not listed
not available on website
wrong connector type
no exact match
ANSWER:
If your exact OEM connector/model is not listed, it is often still possible to install an Ultimate Rectifier by modifying the wiring harness using the connectors supplied with the Ultimate Rectifier.
All Ultimate Rectifiers can be used on 12V systems with a permanent-magnet stator.
TEMPLATE: WE DO NOT SELL YOUR TYPE/MODEL
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have your specific OEM voltage regulator/rectifier in our assortment.
In many cases, you can still install an Ultimate Rectifier by modifying the wiring harness using the connectors delivered with the Ultimate Rectifier.
All our Ultimate Rectifiers can be fitted to 12V vehicles with a permanent-magnet stator.

QUESTION: Can I use an Ultimate Rectifier with a lithium battery (LiFePO4)?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
lithium compatible
LiFePO4 safe
lithium charging voltage
works with lithium battery
ANSWER:
Yes. Our output voltage is regulated to approximately 14.2V, which is compatible with lithium and conventional (lead-acid) batteries.
TEMPLATE: COMPATIBLE BATTERY TYPE
Yes, our voltage regulator/rectifier is compatible with lithium batteries. The output voltage is regulated to approximately 14.2V, which is safe and reliable for lithium and conventional batteries.

QUESTION: Is Ultimate Rectifier a series regulator or a shunt regulator?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
UR type series or shunt
is UR shunt type
is UR series type
MOSFET shunt vs MOSFET series
ANSWER:
Our standard Ultimate Rectifier models are MOSFET SHUNT type.
We also offer MOSFET SERIES regulators in the UR-SR product range.
TEMPLATE: SERIES REGULATOR TYPE (EXPLANATION)
Our standard Ultimate Rectifier models are MOSFET shunt type, which is a very reliable solution in most motorcycles.
We also offer MOSFET series models (UR-SR range). A series regulator opens the stator circuit and can reduce stator temperature, but series units can be larger and more expensive.

QUESTION: How can I test a 6-MOSFET series regulator (UR-SR)?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
6 MOSFET diode test
UR-SR diode test
series MOSFET test
multimeter test UR-SR
ANSWER:
Use a multimeter in diode mode. The readings should be consistent across all phases.
STEPS:
1) Disconnect the regulator completely.
2) Set your multimeter to “diode” mode.
3) Measure Battery + to Phase 1: about ~500mV or infinity (not a short). Reverse the probes and measure again.
4) Repeat step 3 for Phase 2 and Phase 3.
5) Measure Battery – to Phase 1: about ~500mV or infinity (not a short). Reverse the probes and measure again.
6) Repeat step 5 for Phase 2 and Phase 3.

QUESTION: My Ultimate Rectifier has 4 wires, but my motorcycle connector has 5 wires (UR-R-114 situation). What should I do?
ALSO KNOWN AS:
5-pin motorcycle connector
extra wire in harness
missing wire on UR
black wire
ANSWER:
Some motorcycles use a 5-pin connector. We do not stock a 5-pin UR model.
Our product page states that we deliver the 4-pin version.
Solutions:
– Reuse your original motorcycle connector and move the UR pins into it (recommended).
– Or return the product unused for a refund.
TEMPLATE: UR-R-114 5 WIRES INSTEAD OF 4
Some motorcycles use a 5-pin connector; we don’t have this 5-pin model in our assortment. Our website states that we deliver a 4-pin model.
Option 1 (recommended): Reuse your old motorcycle connector. You can remove the pins from the Ultimate Rectifier connector using a small screwdriver and place them into your original connector in the correct positions. The black wire is not needed anymore.
Option 2: Return the Ultimate Rectifier unused for a refund.
